About the Speaker:

Dr. Preeti Raman designs and investigates evidence-based, data-enhanced hybrid learning experiences and technologies to support caring pedagogies across a range of settings. Her expertise is situated in the fields of Computer Science, Affect Studies, the Learning Sciences and AI in Education.

An accomplished professional with over 20 years of global technology consulting and teaching experience, gained from working in North America, Germany, Hong Kong and India, Preeti is a passionate advocate for the importance of Math and Technology education in driving innovation. She earned her doctorate in Curriculum and Pedagogy at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto where her work has been supported through multiple fellowships and scholarships. She holds an MA in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Development from the University of Toronto, a Masters in Computer Science from Carleton University and a Bachelors in Computer Engineering from Bangalore University. Currently, she is an educational researcher with the Teaching Systems Lab at MIT, USA.
