English for Graduate Studies is an elevated academic program designed for students interested in pursuing a graduate degree (Master’s or PhD). Students attend the Level 6 Essential English classes, as well as complete an essential preparatory module on Graduate Studies Excellence.
At A Glance
- Eight week program with 20 hours of in-class or online study per week
- Digital Foundations module: five hours per week (self-study)
- Successful completion fulfills York University language entry requirement
- Students can achieve a distinction (equivalent to IELTS 7.5)
