The Post‑Graduate Certificate in Digital Construction Management is not a traditional construction project management program. It is a digital‑first, technology‑driven construction program built for an industry that now relies on advanced tools, data, and modern building methods. Students develop core construction knowledge—materials, methods, scheduling, quality control, and estimation—while gaining hands‑on experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk, Procore, BIM, 3D modelling, and digital drawing interpretation. They also learn Modern Methods of Construction and apply LEED‑aligned sustainable building concepts that reflect the shift toward efficient, low‑impact construction practices.
The program culminates in a collaborative digital construction practicum where students plan and produce a full project package. Working in teams, they analyze challenges, assess risks, develop solutions, and communicate across diverse stakeholder groups. Practicum deliverables include project drawings, a preliminary estimate, a project schedule, and a professional report and presentation, all produced within safety and regulatory expectations including OSHA‑aligned standards.
Graduates leave prepared for roles that require digital fluency, modern workflows, sustainability awareness, and industry‑ready communication—skills that extend far beyond standard project coordination training. Students also earn 15 Gold Seal credits, accelerating their pathway toward national industry certification.
There is a growing shortage of skilled construction managers, especially as cities in Canada continue to expand. Emerging technologies like automation and AI, combined with essential project management skills, are crucial for overseeing the entire construction life cycle from planning to occupancy.
New projects are constantly initiated to meet the societal demands for residential and commercial construction, increasing the need for qualified professionals in construction project development, estimation, contracts administration, trade management and coordination. Developers and general contractors are actively seeking individuals with these qualifications to ensure successful project execution.
The Post-Graduate Certificate in Digital Construction Management will prepare learners to enter this field with high-level skills and practical experience in software and new tech to excel in managing Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) construction and High-Rise Residential projects.
Professional Recognition: Graduates will receive 15 credits towards their Gold Seal Accreditation upon completion of our program.
