What you will learn
The three course part-time Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Action certificate will utilize transformative learning methodologies to foster deep introspection, critical reflection and meaningful dialogue, enabling you to challenge assumptions, expand perspectives and develop inclusive practices in the workplace. You will learn from industry expert instructors and engage in experiential projects, preparing you to:
- Understand DEI terms, concepts and key issues
- Comprehend challenges faced by equity-deserving and protected groups and learn relevant legislation
- Conduct a real-world examination of the processes and workflows of DEI professionals through an end-to-end DEI action plan project
- Examine the likely challenges to implementing a DEI plan and ways of sustaining it
- Learn how to interpret data analytics to identify DEI trends and measure the effectiveness of initiatives
- Make evidence-based decisions to foster an inclusive and equitable work environment

- Balance your work and life commitments with two part-time format options: 11-week intensive online + Monday/Thursday live evening sessions via zoom, or six-month blended online + one Saturday live session via zoom per course
