What you will learn
Learn the essential skills and cross-functional competencies, including problem-solving, critical thinking, judgment, communication, leadership and change management, to support process improvement projects. Work on assignments and a capstone project that simulates real-world use cases, preparing you to:
- Describe how organizations are governed and the basics of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Apply the quality management system (QMS) documentation hierarchy and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements to a business process use case
- Utilize the Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs and Customer(SIPOC) Diagram Technique for project scoping
- Practice the key stakeholder interview methodology when conducting a needs assessment
- Integrate the design thinking approach customized for business process improvements using Miro board, whiteboard, mind mapping and sticky notes
- Use process maps that focus on bottlenecks and producing performance metrics
- Conduct process assessments and create process flows to identify “quick wins”
- Recommend business process use cases suited for process automation using technologies such as low-code/no-code, Green BPI, Adaptive Process Delivery and Automated Process Discovery
- Implement change improvement techniques to ensure the adoption of process improvements
