Pre-Destination York Program

Pre-Destination York is for high school graduates who want to achieve the language requirements to enter the Destination York Program, and ultimately begin undergraduate studies at York University.

Admission requirements

Previous education:
High school graduation

Language proficiency you need:
IELTS score of 5.5 (or)
TOEFL iBT: 79 or TOEFL paper (or)
Completion of Level AP6

Accredited by Languages Canada

Schedule and Online Delivery

The program is 8 weeks in length, with 20 hours per week of online learning.
Each day includes 3 hours of live online learning, delivered by one of our expert instructors, and 1 hour of online self-study time for you to work on assignments.

Materials

You will need a computer with reliable, high-speed internet and a camera and microphone. An e-mail account, internet library access, and textbooks are included in the tuition fee.

Out-of-class Timetable

The University Life program provides a range of co-curricular activities including:

Conversation Partners
Virtual campus activities with other members of the York community
Online workshops on university life skills, including topics such as time management skills, applying for admission, and testing strategies
