The Certificate in AI Governance is a 5-month, blended program for professionals in compliance, risk, privacy, data governance, legal and technology leadership. The program will help you build practical, non-coding expertise in AI governance, risk management, assurance and compliance.

You’ll learn through real-world projects that reflect the work you’ll do on the job, rather than traditional exams.

You’ll develop practical skills that employers look for, including how to:

• Classify AI systems and map stakeholder responsibilities across the AI lifecycle
• Evaluate AI architectures and data flows for potential harms, privacy issues and gaps
• Implement governance controls, including documentation, traceability and audit-readiness
• Create end-to-end risk assessments, model cards, audit reports and improvement plans
• Operationalize governance frameworks within real organizational workflows
• Communicate AI risks and governance decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Instead of focusing primarily on theory, every course is built around a hands-on assignment.

You’ll complete:

• A comprehensive AI Governance Plan
• Other workplace products and artifacts that demonstrate your practical skills

Yes. The program includes hands-on projects and applied governance activities that reflect real-world AI governance work.

Yes. You will build an AI Governance Plan based on a real-world case study. You will also complete other deliverables, reports, assessments and portfolio-ready artifacts.
