I like YP3 program very much! It helps a lot; I learned lots of new methods to improve my IELTS score and to apply to graduate programs. What's more, we also practice the skills we need in our future studies such as writing essays and theses. The most important thing is we get familiar with the teaching and studying styles in Canada which are very different from China, so that we can prepare well for the graduate program.

There are a lot of good teachers, like my instructor Kareen. YP3 helps me to improve my English language proficiency and instructs me for applying to graduate programs. I learnt how academic studies work here. Besides, they will organize school trips with reasonable prices.

Before joining this program, I totally relied on the agent in China about applying to graduate programs. However, I do my utmost to search for the programs, the universities and the professors, through which I improve my ability to be a better student in the future as well as learn how to write a CV and a personal statement. I have changed my opinion about IELTS test and the form of letter of intent which I haven't known well in China.

I learn not only language skills because the course teaches me so many skills, about how to search graduate programs and learn how to apply to them. It is also very practical to do so since the agent helped me before. Moreover, during the program, I can gain more Canadian Experience. It’s great, but I am getting used to it, for it's a whole different environment as well as teaching methods from those in China. During my YP3 program in The York University English Language Institute, I did not only benefit a lot in my language learning, but also developed the ability to apply to graduate schools all by myself. I think to develop the ability to think and do research independently is what really matters, rather than only to focus on measurable language testing skills.

This is my experience about the YP3. Studying in YP3 for one month, I learned a lot from the arrangement on the study and life. Before you begin something, it is better to prepare enough and do a deep search through Google or an online library. Moreover, the teachers in the YP3 kindly help me to deal with studying problems and graduate school applications. In addition, this program provides us with adequate trips which help me know more about Canadian culture and lifestyle.
