Purpose
York University has created the Continuing Studies Emergency Benefit as an urgent response to the economic devastation caused by COVID-19. The Benefit aims to remove financial barriers that prevent qualified individuals in need to gain immediate access to high quality, accelerated online university credentials.
We will award seventeen individuals with a $1,500 toward their School of Continuing Studies certificate tuition. This $25,500 Benefit program is immediately available to Canadian workers who have unexpectedly lost their jobs or are facing financial difficulty due to the on-going pandemic.
UPDATE: Thanks to a generous donation, we’ve increased the Continuing Studies Emergency Benefit to assist an additional seven individuals in accessing our continuing studies programs. We will now be awarding 24 individuals in total with $1,500 to go towards their certificate.
