The AdClub of Toronto Award recognizes and supports graduating students from a marketing, communications and design program at the York University School of Continuing Studies who have demonstrated leadership and meaningful community involvement throughout their studies.    

This award reflects The AdClub of Toronto’s commitment to fostering the next generation of creative and strategic professionals who make a positive impact both within and beyond their fields.   

Beginning in 2026, this award will be granted annually for five (5) years in support of student success.   

  • Number of Awards: One (1) annually   
  • Award Amount: $3,000   

To be eligible, applicants must:   

  • Have successfully completed a professional program within Marketing, Communications & Design during the eligibility period listed below. Eligible programs include:   
    • Certificate in Digital Marketing   
    • Certificate in User Experience (UX) Design   
    • Certificate in Learning Experience Design   
    • Certificate in Content Marketing 
    • Certificate in Digital Marketing Analytics   
    • Post-Graduate Certificate in Digital & Content Marketing   
  • Submit a written statement (maximum 250 words) outlining:   
    • Their community involvement   
    • Leadership demonstrated during their studies   
    • The impact of their contributions   

Eligibility period: 

  • 2026 Award – applicants must have completed their program between October 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026.  
  • 2027 Award  – applicants must have completed their program between October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2027 
  • 2028 Award – applicants must have completed their program between October 1, 2027 and September 30, 2028 
  • 2029 Award – applicants must have completed their program between October 1, 2028 and September 30, 2029 
  • 2030 Award – applicants must have completed their program between October 1, 2029 and September 30, 2030. 
  • Applications open: October 1 
  • Application period: 365 days    
  • Committee review: November    
  • Recipients announced: December  

The School of Continuing Studies Awards Committee will review all applications and contact the recipients by email after the internal review period.    

Recipients are selected based on:   

  • Completeness of application and documentation   
  • Demonstration of leadership and community involvement    
  • Graduation status of the eligible program   

The Committee’s decisions are final and cannot be appealed.  Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.  

Please note that only one award is given out each year. Not everyone who is eligible will receive an award.
