Improve your intermediate-to-advanced English verbal and reading comprehension skills to prepare you for the Master of Business Administration or specialized 1-year Masters programs at the world-renowned Schulich School of Business.

What is the MBA/Specialized Master’s Preparation Program?

This full-time, eight-week program will prepare you to pursue your Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a specialized 1-year Master’s program at York University’s Schulich School of Business (Canada’s top business school). Guided by our expert instructors, you will achieve reading, writing, listening, and speaking improvements targeted for graduate-level academic and real-world business contexts.

As a graduate of this program, you will be equipped with the English language skills expected of a graduate-level business student. You will be prepared to apply to the MBA program or another Master’s-level program at York University’s Schulich School of Business or to a graduate-level business program at another top-tier university. Successful completion of this program meets the language requirements of most Schulich School of Business programs.

What you will learn

We set you up for success at Canada’s most prestigious business school. To do that, we teach you intensive language lessons delivered through business-related projects. You will learn through both independent projects, as well as team projects including reviewing case studies, conducting research, analyzing economic and financial data and drafting written reports.

You will also have the unique opportunity to participate in networking and interview situations, and deliver a presentation to evaluators from Schulich, helping you improve your business knowledge and confidence. Classes also feature guest speakers from the Canadian business world, ensuring a learning experience with a real-world edge.

Program Benefits

We believe the best way to learn is through real-world practice. That’s why learning outside of the virtual classroom is just as important as in-class learning. You will have access to online social and cultural activities that will help you practice conversational English in a stimulating, fun virtual environment.
