An Accredited Family Mediator, Anisa holds a Masters of Social Work degree and brings over 20 years of experience in the field of conflict resolution, mediation, negotiation and training. Anisa has particular expertise in dispute and conflict resolution, intimate partner violence, family justice, custody assessment, mental health and parent-child relations. Anisa serves as the Family Mediator and Settlement Conference Facilitator for Legal Aid Ontario, Peel and York Regions. Previously, she worked for Blue Hills Child and Family Services; a registered Ministry of the Attorney General Family Mediation Services Provider, and at the Superior Court of Justice in Newmarket as a Family Mediator and Information Referral Coordinator.

Anisa serves as a Board Member with the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts – Ontario (AFCC-O) and served as Chair and long-time Board Member with Peel Family Mediation Services. She co-founded and spearheaded the Peel Family Mediation Annual Domestic Violence Symposium (2011-2017). Anisa has been a guest lecturer at York University in the Faculty of Social Work at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, a course developer and trainer in family mediation, domestic violence and power imbalance at Humber College, and conducts training for articling students and new staff lawyers on court-based family mediation, intimate partner violence and access to justice. She has also provided internship training through Peel Family Mediation Services and Legal Aid Ontario.

Anisa is an active member of the Ontario Association of Family Mediation, Ontario College of Social Workers, Ontario Association of Social Worker and Social Service Workers, Association of Family & Conciliation Courts – Ontario and Academy of Professional Family Mediators.

Dr. Dan Ashbourne is a Clinical Psychologist, registered in Ontario by the College of Psychologists and an Accredited Family Mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation. Dr. Ashbourne began working at the London Family Court Clinic in 1999 after having run a Children’s Mental Health Centre in Newfoundland, and later working in Thunder Bay across many diverse communities. He became the Executive Director at the London Family Court Clinic (LFCC) in 2011 until retiring from that role in January 2022.  LFCC provides mental health services to children and families involved with legal/clinical systems. Over many years at LFCC, Dr. Ashbourne built relationships with various Indigenous colleagues and communities, including supporting the collaboration with Oneida Settlement through the Lona’tshistanet project for children, youth, and families.  As Executive Director Emeritus of LFCC, Dr. Ashbourne continues to provide assessments and consultations to the courts for Youth in Conflict with the Law, Child Welfare and/or Parenting Plan Evaluations, as well as provide clinical and consulting support to a new LFCC division, Navigating Onward, or NavOn. He also provides consultation to the ADR-LINK referral service, the Child Witness Program, the London-Middlesex Child and Youth Advocacy Centre (CYAC), and for FASD assessment consultations.

Dr. Ashbourne has been a long-standing member of the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts (AFCC) and has sat on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Chapter. He is on the executive committee of a joint project funded by MCCSS between the Centre for Research and Education on Violence Against Women and Children (CREVAWC) and the LFCC, which is reviewing the Ontario Death Review Committee Recommendations provided following the deaths of adults and/or children. Currently, Dr. Ashbourne oversees various grants and projects at LFCC, while providing training to legal and mental health professionals on topics including trauma informed care, self-care for professionals, family relations, domestic violence, interviewing children, reporting on the Voice of the Child, and Child Inclusive Mediation.

Kavita practices exclusively in the area of family law as pertains to mediating, negotiating, arbitrating and litigating residential arrangements, child and spousal support, property division and the preparation of domestic contracts. She is a Certified Specialist in Family Law, accredited Family Mediator, Arbitrator, Parenting Coordinator and former Panel Lawyer for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer. Kavita has worked closely with victims of abuse, facilitated by her fluency in five languages.

Kavita is a Coach and Advisor for the Law Society of Ontario and Legal Aid Ontario, a Board Member for the Caledon Parent-Child Centre, and Treasurer of Peel Mediation-Arbitration. She is a former Board Member of FDRIO and past-President of the Peel Chapter of the OAFM. Kavita is a regular presenter for the Ontario Justice Education Network, Mandatory Information Program, Catholic Cross-Cultural Services, Canadian Council of Muslim Women and multiple Continuing Professional Development programs.

In practice since 2000, Neeraj practices in Toronto as a family lawyer and family mediator, helping couples who are cohabiting or separating to come to their own durable legal agreements through collaborative negotiation. Neeraj has mediated a wide variety of cases from the very simple to the very complex in all aspects of family law including property division, spousal/child support, parenting plans, prenuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.

In his first five years of practice, Neeraj practiced law with Legal Aid Ontario, West Scarborough Community Legal Services, and the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. In 2005, he made the decision to become a sole practitioner focusing exclusively on collaborative family law and family mediation. In addition to maintaining a busy practice, he has sat on the Board of Collaborative Practice Toronto and has served as a Roster Mediator with Mediate393, which provides government-funded family mediation services. Neeraj has spoken on family dispute resolution in various mediation and professional development programs in Ontario, including Collaborative Practice Toronto, the Ontario Association for Family Mediation and now, with York University’s School of Continuing Education.

A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, Neeraj has volunteered as a coach with Riverdale Mediation and the Law Society of Ontario. He currently Co-Chair of the Mentor Program for the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor and a Master of Social Work degree from McMaster University. She is a registered social worker and an Accredited Family Mediator serving Hamilton, Halton and Niagara regions. She offers specialized services related to families impacted by separation and divorce including custody and access assessments, family mediation, reintegration therapy, voice of the child reports, parenting coordination, and therapeutic services for children and families impacted by divorce. She is a panelled member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer and a consultant on high conflict custody disputes to both Hamilton Children’s Aid Societies.

Michelle is a frequent presenter at national and international professional conferences in the area of high conflict separation/divorce and children’s mental health. She is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers, Ontario Association of Social Workers, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the Ontario Association of Family Mediators. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Ontario Chapter, and she is the Past Chair of the Hamilton High Conflict Forum.

Archana is a Certified Family Law Specialist and accredited Family Mediator practicing in Toronto, who brings over 20 years of international experience in family dispute resolution. As a Panel Lawyer for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer, Archana has worked on issues of gender-based violence, child abuse and child protection through representing primarily vulnerable populations including immigrants, refugees, women, and children in high conflict family matters and at all levels of the court system. She believes that culturally appropriate services are crucial for families navigating any dispute resolution process and that diversity and inclusion are key to advancing peace.

Archana is a member of the leadership team of Mediators Beyond Borders International, an international NGO that holds consultative status with the United Nations. She currently serves as a Board Member with the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts – Ontario. Archana is a co-author of the book “Domestic Violence in Immigrant Communities: Case Studies,” which examines the experiences of immigrant and refugee women who have experienced domestic violence, based on analysis of closed legal cases filed in Ontario family courts. Archana’s awards and distinctions include “The Volunteer Service Award” from the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration.

Jonathan is a Registered Social Worker, Accredited Family Mediator, and Child Protection Mediator in private practice, providing psychotherapy, family arbitration, family court assessments, voice of the child reports, collaborative family law and family mediation. He is a recognized expert witness for the Superior Court of Justice (Family Court) on various topics, including domestic violence, mental health and parenting issues. Jonathan is a Board Member of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation and a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, in addition to being a family professional with the Durham Region Collaborative Practice, Peterborough Collaborative Practice and the Collaborative Practice Institute groups.

He is also a roster member of Four Counties Family Court Mediation Service in Peterborough. In addition to his private practice, Jonathan is involved in providing online training on the topics of mental health in the workplace and the trauma-informed approach to working with clients. Jonathan developed his passion for working with children and families going through separation and divorce while working for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer as a Clinical Investigator. Jonathan has degrees in Sociology, Social Work and Counselling Psychology.

Mary-Anne has served as the Executive Director of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM) since 2015. As an OAFM Accredited Family Mediator, Intergenerational Mediator, and Child Protection Mediator in private practice, she works to bring peaceful resolutions that have helped hundreds of families adapt to challenges and changes across the life cycle. Mary-Anne is a roster mediator for the Office of the Independent Police Review Director (OIPRD) and the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services. She also serves as an Assistant Trainer in the Intergenerational Mediation program at OAFM. In 2020, in response to the global pandemic, Mary-Anne became a Certified Online Mediator.

Mary-Anne is passionate about promoting public access to justice, and has been a facilitator for the Home Court Advantage Summit, as well as the Legal Innovation Zone’s technology initiative to expand equitable access to alternative and non-adversarial services for families. Mary-Anne is a regular guest on the Mediation Station radio program and presenter at various institutions, including Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario, Canadian Domestic Homicide Prevention Initiative, Osgoode Hall Law School, and the International Federation on Ageing. She is also a contributing author to three books, Living Together, Separating, Divorcing: Surviving During a Pandemic, Family Conflict During a Pandemic: Stories of Struggle and Hope, and Grief and Fatigue: Families and the Pandemic.

In 2014, Mary-Anne received the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship in recognition of her volunteer contributions to St. Joseph’s Maternal Health Support Program. Mary-Anne supports diversity and equality as an ally always, and as a volunteer for Toronto PFLAG. She served as a Panel Member on the City of Toronto Committee of Adjustment, is the past Chair of the ADR Institute of Ontario’s Family Section and past Board Member of the OAFM from 2009 – 2014.

Vicky has been practicing law since 2005 and works primarily in Family Law in the areas of separation and divorce, child protection, adoption, ​​fertility and surrogacy. She is an accredited family mediator and trained cross-border mediator in international child abductions. She is also a facilitator of Legal Aid Settlement Conferences and sits as a Dispute Resolution Officer at the Superior Court of Justice, Family Court Branch in various jurisdictions across Ontario. She is a Panel Lawyer with the Office of the Children’s Lawyer and serves as per diem Duty Counsel at the Family Court. She is also a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts – Ontario Chapter (AFCC-O) Parenting Plan Guide Project Task Force.

Vicky is a Coach with the Law Society of Ontario’s Coach and Advisor Network. She volunteers her time as a member of the Board of Directors of l’Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (AJEFO) and the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO). As a presenter at conferences, seminars, and other professional development events across Canada, she offers her knowledge and passion for Family Law, technology integration in the workplace, as well as the impact of new technologies like cryptocurrency in the financial disclosure process in legal proceedings. Vicky is originally from Northwestern New Brunswick and is fluently bilingual in French and English. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Communication and a Bachelor of Laws (Common Law in French – LL.B.) both from the University of Ottawa.

Ivana Vaccaro is a partner at RV Law LLP and has been practicing exclusively in the area of family law since she was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004. She has been a longstanding member of the Family Lawyers Association and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. She is also a member of the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario, Ontario Association for Family Mediation, and the Canadian Italian Advocates Organization. She is also a Coach and Advisor for the Law Society of Ontario, a presenter for the Mandatory Information Program, and a member of the Board of Directors for The Redwood, a shelter for women and children fleeing abuse.

Ivana appears in both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in the Greater Toronto Area on a variety of family law issues ranging from parenting and residential arrangements to support and division of property. She is the founder of Mediated Family Results Inc., a separate family dispute resolution service through which she offers family mediation, arbitration and parenting coordination services to families who choose to resolve their disputes outside of the court process.  Ivana was recently cross-appointed to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario as a part-time member, after having served as a part-time member of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. She also sits on the Custody Review Board, Custody and Family Services Review Board, and Ontario Special Education Tribunal (English).

Candice is a sole practitioner who specializes in all aspects of family law, including custody, access, support, division of property, equalization, and domestic contracts. Her niche is high conflict custody and access cases, particularly those involving domestic violence. Candice is a passionate client advocate with over 10 years of experience exclusively litigating family law matters at the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice.

Candice also sits on the Duty Counsel Panel at the Brampton Courthouse, where she provides legal assistance to self-represented family law litigants. Outside of the courtroom, Candice assists individuals to resolve disputes about family law issues as an Accredited Family Mediator with the Peel Family Mediation Service (PFMS). Candice holds a Professional Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Family Law from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Pamela is a Psychologist and Accredited Family Mediator with over 30 years’ experience in conflict resolution, mediation, counselling, and training. She has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups helping them to resolve personal difficulties and conflicts in their lives. Pamela brings expertise in family mediation, family dynamics, parent-child relations and mental health. She is on the roster of Peel Mediation Services as a Mediator and Internship Supervisor and has a private practice in counselling and family mediation in Etobicoke. Previously, Pamela was the Director of Counselling Services at York University’s Glendon campus and an Adjunct Professor in the Glendon Psychology Department.

Gail is an Accredited Family Mediator, Qualified Mediator, Certified Child & Youth Worker and Voice of the Child Practitioner trained in collaborative practice. Fluently bilingual in French and English, Gail has acquired 16 years of mediation experience, including 22 years in front-line mental health service and crisis intervention. Gail brings varied and diverse experience with the Ontario and Superior Courts of Justice and in delivering quality client care in both the public and private sectors in the areas of youth justice, hospital, residential, open and closed young offender custody, as well as mainstream and academic (day) treatment settings.

Gail’s empathetic and inclusive practice supports people of all ages and backgrounds, often in high-conflict situations. Gail presently serves as a Mediator and Information Referral Coordinator for Peel Family Mediation Services and a Service Consultant for York Hills Family Mediation and Information Service, while also running a private practice.

Tonya Brock is an Accredited Family Mediator (AccFM) and Child Protection Mediator (CP Med) with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM) and a Certified Specialist in Family Mediation (FDRP Med) with the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO).  She is also an approved provider of New Ways for Families through the High Conflict Institute.

Tonya’s mediation experience spans almost two decades.  She has training and experience in restorative justice, victim-offender mediation, neighbourhood disputes, circle facilitation, crisis intervention, high conflict and community mediation.  Additionally, for over a decade, she has been on the roster at AXIS Family Mediation Inc., working at both the Superior (Family Court) and Ontario Courts of Justice as an Information and Referral Coordinator, Court-Based Family Mediator and Senior Mediation Intern Supervisor.  With close to 600 mediations under her belt, Tonya’s non-judgemental approach has empowered couples to find their own solutions while keeping the best interests of children paramount in all their decisions.

Tiago is an Accredited Family Mediator and Child Protection Mediator with the Ontario Association of Family Mediators, a Qualified Mediator with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario, and a Workplace Fairness Analyst with the Workplace Fairness Institute. Tiago founded The Way Mediation Inc. with the goal of providing efficient, affordable, and compassionate dispute resolution services in the Greater Toronto Area to those who wish to collaboratively resolve disputes and work towards fair, long-lasting agreements.

Having served in leadership roles with his faith community for over 15 years, Tiago is known to be an empathetic, attentive listener and calming influence in both high-conflict and amicable settings. Tiago provides multilingual mediation services in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and is proud to work people of all walks of life, worldviews, cultures, identities, denominations, and backgrounds. He continues to train in the areas of law, conflict management and coaching.

Mary is Omushkego Cree, and a member of Attawapiskat First Nation from Moosonee. She is dedicated to consensus building and is transitioning her legal practice to family mediation exclusively.

Mary has been a member of the Law Society of Ontario (LSO) since 2002 providing court representation as well as policy, legal drafting and advisory services to various First Nation Councils and organizations. She is an internationally certified Human Rights Education Provider and Human Trafficking Prevention Educator. Mary is also a creator and provider of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion training, with numerous workshops accredited by the Law Society of Ontario for continued professional development.

Mary’s current projects include extracting laws from traditional story, and creating educational resources for First Nations, about First Nations, designed for Indigenous un/homeschoolers and/or schools. Her interests remain in restorative justice mechanisms and alternatives to court processes.

Jennifer is an Accredited Family Mediator (AccFM) who specializes in online dispute resolution. Through her private mediation practice, she provides end-to-end separation services and mediates in all areas of family law including parenting plans, support, equalization of net family property and property division. Jennifer uses a collaborative mediation model and works with a team of lawyers who provide independent legal advice at various stages throughout the mediation process, so that her clients fully understand the legal aspects of their separation agreement.

Jennifer brings over 20 years of experience working in front line social service settings including working in shelters for victims of domestic violence, as well as over a decade of experience in family law. Through her experience supporting families going through the family court system, Jennifer has seen firsthand the devastation that divorce and litigation can have on families. Jennifer is passionate about providing families with alternative options to alleviate the pain, financial strain and stress of the traditional divorce process.

Jennifer holds a diploma in Social Service Work from Seneca College, a certificate in Family Mediation from York University, a certificate in Online Dispute Resolution from Osgoode PD and a certificate in Family Arbitration from the National Family Law Arbitration Course.

Raheena is a family law, community, and civil mediator, with experience as a family and child protection lawyer. Her mediation practice integrates a variety of approaches and modalities, such as interests-based, trauma-informed, transformational, psychotherapeutic, high-conflict, community-informed, and complex disputes mediation. She is a regular contributor to continuing education programs in the Alternative Dispute Resolution field; and serves on ADR teaching and coaching teams at various institutions.

As a Professor of Alternative Dispute Resolution at Humber College, Raheena’s academic focus is on the application of principles of Interpersonal Neurobiology to the practice of mediation in general, and specifically to supporting human vulnerability in the context of conflict. She also researches themes at the intersection of artificial intelligence, law, and culture, exploring how the conflict resolution field can adapt and thrive in an ever-evolving algorithmic society.

Raheena takes on a variety of voluntary roles within the community. At present, she is serving as a Board Director for the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario, including founding and co-chairing the Family Violence Section, and co-chairing the Diversity and Inclusion Committee; and is a member-at-large of the Executive Board for the Ontario Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Section. She also serves as a volunteer roster mediator with St. Stephen’s Community House.

Jim is Haudenosaunee, Wolf Clan, Cayuga Nation. Jim is an Accredited Family Mediator (AccFM), Child Protection Mediator (CPMed) and Intergenerational Mediator (AccIM) with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM). He also is a Restorative Practitioner/Trainer, Reiki Practitioner and a Farmer. Jim practices Indigenous Dispute Resolution (IDR), developed for Indigenous people in conflict while engaged in child protection services. Jim works with the John Howard Society of Hamilton as a Restorative Practitioner and a facilitator of a court diversion program called Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). Over the course of his mediation career, Jim has spent 2 years working full-time as a Staff Mediator at Family Court with the Ontario Court of Justice. For his private practice, Jim created Peace Builder Mediation to provide individuals, families and institutions peaceful paths to resolution.

Mardi is a mediator, trainer and communication coach specializing in family, family business, organizational and inter-cultural/inter-faith conflict. She has worked privately and in court settings, facilitating resolution for cases deemed ‘unlikely to settle’ by judges in Family and Small Claims Court. Mardi has served as Coordinator of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario’s Family Section and has served on the ADRIO roster as an Independent Complaint Facilitator for Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) client and family healthcare complaints since 2014. Cited by lawyers, peers, students and clients for “creative and smart process choices”, as well as the ability to capture humanity and bring out participants’ best selves to problem-solve, Mardi gives workshops on emotionally intelligent tools and has been sharing her unique humanizing style in York University’s Dispute Resolution and Family Mediation Certificate programs since 2012.

Caroline is an accredited Family and Child Protection Mediator, a collaborative family professional and a Voice of the Child Practitioner.  For more than a decade, Caroline’s work has focused on protecting parent-child relationships during the stressful separation period. Within the child protection context, Caroline has provided mediation services to parents experiencing intense conflict, to kinship caregivers and to adoptive and birth families negotiating openness arrangements. Caroline has provided mediation services through two court-connected mediation programs, provided information and referral services in the family court system, and continues to provide mediation services in her active private practice. Using her natural curiousity, warmth, and deep respect for people’s lived experience, Caroline is able to connect with parents and caregivers from diverse backgrounds and across different family structures and life stages.

Prior to working in this area, Caroline worked as a Child Protection Worker, a Child Protection Research Co-ordinator and a Roots of Empathy Instructor. In addition to helping others work through conflict, Caroline has raised two children, three dogs and a pair of ducklings. She is a scuba diving enthusiast.

Gregg is a Senior Restorative Practitioner with the Department of National Defence (DND), Canada and is an Accredited Family Mediator through the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM). He has over twenty-four years of experience working with individuals, groups and organizations through Conflict Mediation Services of Downsview and the Family Justice System in Toronto where he specialized in triage. He has been coaching with York University’s School of Continuing Studies since 2008 in the Family Mediation Certificate, Certificate in Dispute Resolution and Certificate in Advanced Dispute Resolution. Gregg is an instructor with the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies teaching “Powerful Negotiation Skills” and “Sensitive Communication Skills for Today’s Workplace.”

Gregg provides mediation, facilitation and training services for family, workplace, organizational and community matters along with mentoring, communication and negotiation consulting services through a mindset of emotional awareness, empathy and compassion. Since February 2005, Gregg has written, produced and hosted the program Mediation Station that airs each Sunday night through Zoom.

Mandy is an Accredited Family Mediator (AccFM), Child Protection Mediator (CPMed) and Family Group Conference Coordinator/Family Group Decision Making Coordinator (FGC/FGDM). Mandy manages her own private practice, Fowler Mediation Services, specializing in parenting plans, custody, access, child/spousal support and property division. She is the Director of Community Mediation for Parent Mediation Canada, where she also provides coaching services.

As a proud Métis woman, Mandy is a strong advocate for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and practices in Northern Ontario. She prides herself in working with families who are going through a separation or divorce in remote communities. Mandy has a strong passion for working with families to develop new approaches to dealing with conflict and ensuring the safety and well-being of children. Mandy is pursuing her BSW from Algoma University – School of Social Work with a lens to applying Indigenous-based practices and strength-based approaches to social services.

Hayley is an Accredited Family Mediator in private practice specializing in parenting and custody disputes. She is the Director of Onsite Mediation at Toronto Family Mediation Services (formerly Mediate393), and manages the onsite mediation program at the three Toronto family courts. Actively engaged in Ontario’s ADR communities, Hayley is on the Board of the Association of Family and Conciliations Courts – Ontario, and is a Member of the Dangerous Dogs Review Tribunal with the City of Toronto.

Hayley earned a Ph.D. in Religion, Ethics, and Public Life at Northwestern University (Chicago), and an M.Sc. in Animals and Public Policy at Tufts University (Boston). She holds a Certificate in Ethno-Religious Mediation from the International Center for Ethno-Religious Mediation, and is a member of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators in good standing.

With extensive experience in university-level teaching and course development, Hayley is passionate about mediation coaching and helping students to develop their skills. She coaches and teaches with Riverdale Mediation (Toronto), and has spoken extensively at conferences and workshops. She is also the co-founder and Executive Director of Link Coalition Toronto, a non-profit dedicated to educating the public about the link between domestic violence, child abuse, animal abuse, and elder abuse.

Kim is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University.  She is an Accredited Family Mediator and Intergenerational Mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM).  With over 25 years of experience in conflict resolution, mediation, counselling and assessments, Kim has worked with people from across the lifespan from children to elders.  She also works with individuals, parents and families helping them address personal challenges, change and conflict in their lives.

Kim brings expertise in high conflict family mediation, family dynamics, parent-child relations and mental health.  She is a long-serving roster member of AXIS Family Mediation Inc. and Peel Family Mediation Services, where she serves as a Mediator and Intern Supervisor.  In her private practice, Kim provides services as an Intergenerational Mediator, Designated Capacity Assessor and Voice of the Child Practitioner.  Kim is passionate about the best interests and well-being of children and sits on the Clinical Panel of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer.

Kam is an accredited Family Mediator with additional training and experience in the areas of child protection mediation, family arbitration, parenting coordination, community mediation and victim-offender mediation. Kam holds the designation of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), which enables him to perform mediations involving complex property division. His fluency in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu allows him to serve a diversity of clients and communities. Kam has sat on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association for Family Mediation and participated on the Application Review Committee to assess new applicants for AccFM designation. Kam is a recipient of Helen Pugliese Award for the promotion of peace and harmony in the community, presented by The Community Justice Alternative (CJA) Durham Region.

Alison is an experienced social worker and mediator who has specialized in the field of ADR (family) for over 20 years. She has been a Roster Mediator in Durham Region, the Staff Mediator at the North York Family Court, and the Acting Coordinator for Family Mediation Services and Family Law Information Centres for the Ministry of the Attorney General.  Alison has also worked as a Child Protection Mediator and is passionate about and trained in child-inclusive mediation and counselling.

Alison has over 30 years of experience working in family, child welfare and youth courts, counselling, and research settings. She brings expertise in working with survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence as well as with people with disabilities. Currently, Alison is in private practice offering services as a mediator, collaborative family professional, parent coordinator and counsellor.

Alison has been a Committee Member of the Toronto High Conflict Forum and has provided mentorship and job shadowing opportunities for law and social work students.  She has presented at the North York Family Law Bar Education Series. Alison holds a Master of Social Work degree (University of Toronto) as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work (York University) and Criminology (Carleton University).

Amrit holds a Master of Social Work degree and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She is also an Accredited Family Mediator through the Ontario Association for Family Mediation. Amrit’s areas of specialization include collaborative divorce as a family professional, organizational trauma offering critical incident debriefings, and fertility counselling for third party reproduction. In her private practice, Amrit provides counselling for individuals, couples, and families, assisting them through communication and collaboration. Amrit specializes in conflict resolution and de-escalation, helping clients to develop problem solving skills and coping strategies. She has spent much of her career in health care and employee assistance programs helping first responders and teams in crisis, as well as management consultations assisting with coaching and mentoring through terminations and large-scale downsizings. 

Jared is a Clinical Social Worker in private practice specializing in services for families experiencing high conflict separation and divorce. He provides a range of services including parenting coordination, mediation, assessment, views and preferences reports, and therapeutic interventions. He is a Roster Mediator with Toronto Family Mediation Services and a Panel Clinician with the Office of the Children’s Lawyer. Jared is also a Collaborative Family Professional, a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and is the Co-Chair of the Parenting Coordination Section for FDRIO.

Jared has been a training facilitator and speaker in Canada and internationally on topics related to parenting coordination, mediation, and mental health. His clinical background includes working as an Adolescent and Family Therapist, and he has practiced and trained as a Family and Addictions Counsellor with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Jared has also provided TAPP-C arson prevention assessments for children, as well as assessments for adolescents involved in the youth justice system.

Angela is a family mediator, family professional, social worker, and researcher. She practices privately and as a roster mediator at mediate393, providing court-connected off-site subsidized services. She recently joined the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals (OACP) as a Board Member and continues to be a member of several local and provincial conflict resolution groups. Angela has worked in the areas of conflict resolution, mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, infectious disease and program planning and development at several health, social service and legal agencies in Toronto, New York City, Brooklyn, Montreal, and Guyana.

Angela is keenly interested in both the practice and research of family mediation, with particular attention to the interplay between conflict, family, workplace, mental health, and wellbeing. She continues to pursue a doctoral program (Ph.D. candidate) in Public Health specializing in Social & Behavioural Health Sciences at the University of Toronto.

Claudette is a Registered Social Worker and Accredited Family Mediator specializing in high-conflict dispute resolution. Her experience in family mediation, child protection mediation, and parenting coordination has made her a sought-after practitioner.

In addition to managing her private practice, Claudette provides mediation services for two court-connected programs. She previously served as a Panel Clinician with the Office of the Children’s Lawyer, providing Section 112 custody and access reports. As a family professional, Claudette’s main objective is to empower parents to reach agreements in their children’s best interests. She has extensive experience in child welfare and has worked extensively with medically fragile and high-needs children and youth. She is a member of several rosters, including the Ontario Child Protection Mediation, Family Group Conferencing and Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario. Claudette is also an active volunteer in community mediation and has assisted landlords and tenants in reaching favourable outcomes.

Sandra is from the Bear Clan and is a registered band member of the Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation in Northern Ontario. Sandra is a Protection Resource Mediator at Nogdawindamin Family and Community Services and is the Band Representative responsible for representing children in court. Nogdawindamin is a multi-service Indigenous Child Welfare Agency grounded in Anishnawbek values that assists communities in their responsibility to strengthen families for the safety and well-being of children.

Sandra is a Registered Social Worker and Accredited Family Mediator and Child Protection Mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM). She sits on the Justice Committee for Sagamok and is on the Board of Trustees for Anishinabe Spiritual Center at Anderson Lake. Sandra has a Master of Social Work, a Bachelor of Human Services with a specialization in Psychology and Native Studies, and a Diploma in Native Community Social Development. She has taught in the School of Social Work at Laurentian University.

Passionate about facilitating healing and well-being for children and First Nations families, Sandra is a Reiki Master and Life Activation Practitioner. She lives in the bush at her off-grid home in Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation.

Avagene is a Family Law Lawyer, Accredited Family Mediator and Notary Public who has practised exclusively in family law since her 2005 call to the Ontario Bar. Avagene is the founder of Skervin Law, a family law firm in Mississauga, Ontario. She promotes the resolution of family law issues including decision-making responsibility, parenting time, support and property, through a variety of alternate dispute resolution processes. She is also a member of the Ontario Family Law Limited Scope Services Project and sits as a Dispute Resolution Officer at the Superior Court of Justice, Family Court Branch. Her extensive mediation experience includes working as an on-site mediator in Toronto’s family courts.

Avagene’s volunteer work in the field of family dispute resolution includes having served on the Board of Directors for Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO) and being the current Co-Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for FDRIO. She has also shared her expertise in family law by presenting on “The Intersection of the Pandemic and Family Law Cases, A Financial and Legal Review” at the Chartered Business Valuators Institute (CBV), among other presentations.

Avagene holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in French (Honours) as well as a French Business Certificate issued by the Chambre of Commerce and Industry of Paris.

Borzou is a family lawyer and Accredited Family Mediator with the Ontario Association of Family Mediation (OAFM) and the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO). In his law practice, B. Tabrizi Law, he specializes in negotiation of separation agreements, custody, access, support and division of property as well as private mediation and conflict resolution coaching.

Borzou also practices as a mediator with Toronto Family Mediation Services (formerly mediate393 inc.) which includes work as an onsite mediator at the Toronto Ontario Courts of Justice and the Toronto Superior Court of Justice. He is a strong proponent of alternative dispute resolution in family law because good-faith negotiation and interest-based bargaining can often save people thousands of dollars in legal fees, allow relationships to be mended, and achieve lasting results.

Trish is an Accredited Family Mediator (AccFM) and Child Protection Mediator (CPMed) with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM), a licenced Paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA). Trish has been trained in Youth Restorative Justice, Family Group Conferencing and Community Mediation. Trish has been a member of the Family Mediation coaching team with York University’s School of Continuing Studies since 2018. Over the course of her 10-year family mediation career, Trish spent 5 years working full-time as a Staff Mediator at Family Court with the Ontario Court of Justice, where she successfully completed over 600 mediations. Now in private practice, Trish created Willow Tree Mediation to address the growing need for separating couples to access mediation services and find peaceful solutions.

Daniella is a Collaborative Family Lawyer, Accredited Family Mediator with OAFM, and owner of Daniella Wald Family Law Resolutions in Toronto.  Daniella has practiced in the area of family law since being called to the Bar in 2007, starting out at a boutique family law firm in Toronto before opening her own practice in 2015.  Daniella helps families transition through separation and divorce, focussing on client empowerment, self-determination and collaboration, with an emphasis on children’s interests.  She strives to provide her clients with flexible and cost-effective solutions, while reducing conflict as they work through their separation issues to reach durable and comprehensive agreements.  She is passionate about raising awareness of out-of-court dispute resolution process options for families going through separation.

In addition to her private practice, Daniella was for many years a roster mediator through Mediate393, providing mediation services to clients through the court-based onsite and subsidized offsite mediation programs.  Daniella speaks regularly at various courses and continuing education programs, both as a collaborative lawyer and mediator. She has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for Collaborative Divorce Toronto (CDT), Executive Member of the ADR Section of the Ontario Bar Association, Family Law Subject Matter Expert with the Ryerson Legal Innovation Zone – Family Assist Portal, Board Member and Chair of the Membership Committee for Collaborative Practice Toronto, and she is a Founding Member of the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO), where she has sat on the Board of Directors and Co-Chaired the Communications, Governance and Membership Committees.
