The last best experience that a customer has anywhere, becomes the minimum expectation for the experience they want everywhere. Most customers don’t mind paying a premium if businesses can provide them with an amazing personalized experience. Customer segmentation allows you to learn a great deal about your customers so you can cater to their needs more efficiently through specific marketing efforts and by selecting the right marketing channels for the right audience set.
In this demo class, we review a class of machine learning known as unsupervised learning to segment a customer base. First we explore the data upon which we will build our segmentation model in Python. Then review the descriptive analysis of our data and then implement several versions of a clustering algorithm. The class finishes by visualizing and interpreting our customer segments.
