In this webinar\, Jim will explore the practice of Indigenous Dispute Resolution (IDR)\, highlighting unique considerations in mediating in Indigenous contexts and best practices that IDR offers to the Family Mediation sector. \nHosted by:\n \nNicole Pereira\, Program Manager \n \nJim Doxtdator\, AccFM\, CPMed\, CDFA \nJim is Haudenosaunee\, Wolf Clan\, Cayuga Nation. Jim is an Accredited Family Mediator (AccFM) and Child Protection Mediator (CPMed) with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM). Jim practices Indigenous Dispute Resolution (IDR) in the realm of child protection services.   \nJim works with the John Howard Society of Hamilton as a Restorative Practitioner and as a Facilitator of a court diversion program. He also serves as a Staff Mediator at Family Court with the Ontario Court of Justice. Jim founded Peace Builder Mediation to provide individuals\, families and institutions peaceful paths to resolution.
