Accounting Full-Time and Part-Time Post-Graduate Certificates

DevOps is a methodology that combines software development (Dev) and information-technology operations (Ops) to shorten the systems development life cycle while focusing on quality and continuous delivery.

Gartner’s 2019 priority matrix for DevOps predicts that the DevOps toolchain and continuous delivery will have mainstream adoption over the next two to five years, and this adoption would have transformational benefits to organizations. Agile and DevOps are going to play a central role in organizations undergoing digital transformation.

Program Description

The Certificate in DevOps will deepen students’ understanding of how DevOps can provide business and technological benefits to an organization and how to implement best practices that derive maximum value using Agile project management methodology. Students will critically analyze case studies on successful DevOps implementations and be prepared to successfully construct a DevOps automated pipeline using trending tools such as Git, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Selenium, Bamboo and Elk Stack. Students will also learn how DevOps can impact emerging technologies such as machine learning and AI.

Program Format

The Certificate in DevOps is a 3-course, part-time certificate program and will take six months to complete part-time. It is designed to help mid-career professionals change or advance their careers by gaining applied knowledge in the quickly emerging discipline of DevOps.

Format: Part-Time, blended
Delivery: Online coursework + required live online sessions
Live Session Schedule: 6 weekend days (Sundays)
Courses: 3 courses  
Program Length: 6 months

Who should take this program?

This program is for IT operations professionals, software developers/engineers, infrastructure specialists, test engineers, database administrators, and IT consultants.

Enrolment Requirements

You will need a Basic Knowledge of Linux, Scripting (Bash/Shell) and Python. For those that do not have a strong software development background, they will be provided with a Python, Scripting and Linux primer/refresher as a reference.

The Certificate in DevOps is a direct registration program. No application process is required–simply enrol in the session of your choice to get started.
